Add to this the fact that we’re in Cairns with a significantly depleted number of riders, media and hangers-on and there’s a distinct holiday vibe in the air. That will all change tomorrow, of course, as the riders don their national kits and head up the hill in the uplift vans for the first round of the rumble in the jungle.
