Dean Lucas is keeping himself out of the team rumour ruck and has already announced he’ll be racing with Intense again next year.
Lucas, 22, joined Intense at the start of the 2016 season after racing for Devinci at the start of his elite career. Lucas finished 48th overall in 2016 but muscled into the top 20 this year to finish 16th including a career best second place in Mont Sainte Anne.
Lucas said on Instagram: “Happy to announce that I’ll be continuing to represent Intense Cycles for the coming year! Can’t wait to get back to the races with all these guys and make Intense Factory Racing one of the top teams on the World Cup circuit!”
Dean has been racing all year on the aluminium, 29″ prototype and will no doubt be swinging a leg over the carbon version next year. There’s no news who’ll be pitting next to him though as Jack Moir, Charlie Harrison and Nik Nestoroff are all keeping schtum for now. More news when we get it.
