Wyn gets around the pits and talks to the riders after today’s qualifying. It was an interesting day with a few surprises up at the top of the results table, Matt Simmonds went fastest with Josh claiming a handy 40 points in second. Loic Bruni was in 3rd and the big surprise of the day went to Francisco Pardal, currently sitting at 83rd in the ranking the Portugese rider was just ahead of Hill in 5th.

Catching up with Matt Simmonds who said he had a bit of a scrappy run he was happy to be up there but it’s a new experience for him going off last tomorrow afternoon. Steve Peat had a solid one but his ‘old bones’ were hurting down the bottom of this track, he’s proud to see Ratboy close to the overall win and if he turns it on tomorrow there will no doubt be a big party tomorrow night.
Brook MacDonald was as surprised as anyone to have been pushed back by Pardal but either way he thinks there could be more in the tank for tomorrow. Sam Dale wasn’t stoked about his run but landing the last 5 points available in qualifying he will be pushing for a better result tomorrow chasing his mate Ratboy down.
Taylor Vernon didn’t seem to bothered to be pipped by Laurie Greenland in quali, Tay could still take the overall and he has the minerals after his win at the last round in Windham. We also got some tips about hair straightening and speed, but there aren’t the words here to explain this…
After Sam Hill gave little away not opting for a second track walk Wyn caught a Polaroid with Mike Jones and got the lowdown on his run as well as his amazing laugh!
