Here’s a snippet from the Morewood press release:
“It’s in Meribel, on a track already really difficult when dry and technical with a numerous number of roots that the final went on today. It’s then under pouring rain that the track became like a battlefield.
It’s on that battlefield and in front of the best French riders (Barel, Gracia, Pedemanaud) that Mick turned into a warrior on the handle bar of his MOREWOOD Makulu.
Mick wins his 3rd title and proves that he is the best French rider in difficult conditions like today and that he’s a real champion who knows when to be ready for the real action.”
…and a snippet from Sabrina Jonnier’s newsletter:
“Myriam was riding so well – she was riding flat pedals and she just had an amazing run,” offers Jonnier.
Jonnier finished third with Emmeline Ragot second and Floriane Pugin finishing fourth after a crash in her race run.
“Myriam beat us by 12 seconds on the five-minute track. Even without my mistakes I don’t think I could have beaten Myriam – she was riding much better, but I could have been closer, which would have been better for my brain,” Jonnier laughs.”

The word from the Scott 11 newsletter…
“Nick Beer and Emilie Siegenthaler both defended their swiss champion’s title, while Floriane Pugin and Fabien Pedemanaud were slowed down by mechanical problems at the french championships.
The swiss championships were held in beautiful Wiriehorn on saturday, while the sun was still out. The pressure was on, as Emilie and Nick were fighting against the jetlag from Windham as well as the rest of Switzerland’s downhill racers who were trying to take their titles.
Though, Nick and Emilie managed to win their race with a lead of over 3 seconds, making sure they keep wearing the swiss cross.
Just before racing the swiss championships, they won the qualifier for sunday’s IXS Swiss Downhill Cup on the same track. One day later, the race was canceled because of almost impossible weather conditions, and saturdays qualifier counted for the IXS Cup, which means that Nick and Emilie each won 2 races within a few hours.
The french championships were not as positive for SCOTT11: Floriane Pugin and Fabien Pedemanaud liked the wet and muddy conditions that were even worse than the ones at Wiriehorn. The track was just what they ride best on, but they both had mechanical problems and couldn’t finish the race in a top spot.”
