Just been on the blower (phone, not hair dryer) to Chris Roberts for the low down on the 2009 British NPS Four Cross series. He tells me it’s only 25quid per round to enter which seems like a bargain, you also get a discount if you enter multiple races. Plus there are two new categories Fun 12-17 Year old and Big Fun 18+ Year olds, for those that want to give racing a go but haven’t got a British Cycling Race Licence.

2009 Will Be The Biggest Year Ever For British Four Cross (4x)
Everyone has got or wants a small hard tail bike to play on, there cheap to buy and fun to ride and with money getting tight for people it’s also the cheapest National Mountain bike series in the country.
There are a lot of new riders crossing over this year which is going to make the first round very exciting to see if these new kids can shake up the series regulars.
The atmosphere is always good fun one where you can see the whole track and all the racing action. Four Cross has to be the most exciting mountain bike racing on the planet.
Rockstar Energy Drinks will be handing out some big cans of your favorite drinks at every round of the series.

It’s your chance to get involved entries are open now for the first round at Uk Bike Park in Dorset, this is a hard packed track that rides well in all conditions and was just host to the Student Champs.
