Save Caerphilly Trails

Caerphilly trails aka Van Road trails in South Wales are the latest to face the possible threat of being ploughed. Sign the petition below, join the Facebook group and email the officials to offer your support.

We spoke to Jason Carpenter the man behind the Van Road trails (and doing the buzzard impression above) who said:

“Hopefully they don’t want to flatten them, Huw spoke to the manager today. They want them managed properly. I think they are trying to stir up some trouble, cause a stir to force Caerphilly CBC to get involved. This might end up getting someone a job to supervise them and pick up litter etc. Wouldn’t be a bad thing if it happened. We’ve been through all this before a couple of times, looks a bit more serious this time.”

In the meantime visitors could help by:

1) Taking their litter home with them,
2) Repairing any damage they cause, and
3) Not altering anything

I guess these rules apply to any set of trails you visit.
