Kev Duckworth and his crew at the PMBA do a cracking job organising fun enduros around the north of England and this year they’ve decided to do something a bit special. PMBA will be hosting the 2017 UK National Enduro Championships.
The 55km, 10 stage event will be held at Graythwaite Hall and Grizedale in the Lake District on April 28-30. Graythwaite is a closed venue that was built specifically for the Northern Enduro Championships (part of the PMBA series) this year.
The event has also been classed as a qualifier for the 2018 Enduro World Series as well. This probably makes it one of the most prestigious enduro events to be happening in Britain next year. Great work guys!
PMBA said: “Friday will see the Grizedale stages open for practice, while Saturday will be for practicing the closer Graythwaite stages. Sunday is race day, with a course around 55km lap and upto 10 stages to crown our champions.
“Whomever claims the titles on offer here will deserve them. No need to worry about work on the Monday its a bank holiday so you can enjoy our £2/pint ale on Sunday after the race, cheer the winners on the podium and whatever else we think we can squeeze in to the evening’s celebrations. Toilets, bike wash, showers, tech support, as well as catering and an expo of your favourite brands onsite.”
