The Japanese component giant is celebrating 25 years of clipless pedal technology and their 2015 footwear models were on display along with a limited edition ’25th Anniversary’ pedal and shoe package.

This combination of the new SH-M163 shoe and PD-M530 pedal is only a few weeks away and the colours and styling of the shoe echos their original 1990 design. A standard version of the shoe is currently available as is their newish SH-M200 model which is aimed at the clipless trail/enduro rider with weather protection and ankle protection.

Shimano Europe’s component brand Pro was on display with developments in progress. Internal cable routing (for Di2 wiring) for bars and stem keeps cockpits clean and functional in typical mountain bike conditions. There was talk of revisions to the Atherton range of components too.
