Friday “Insert caption” Randoms

What happened on this day in history you might be asking yourselves? Well for starters in Dorset about 1834 six blokes, nicknamed the Tolpuddle Martyrs, were sentenced to seven years banishment to the Australian penal colony for forming a trade union, in 1931 the first electric shavers went on sale in America and in 1965 Mick Jagger and the rest of the Rolling Stones were fined £5 each for public urination.

I lasted 29 seconds watching this one but Dirt designer Jon reckons it’s worth sticking out for the whole 8mins.

Philbert’s Phriday Photographer.

Philbert’s mother HATES snakes.

In fact, if she sees a snake her normal method of reaction is to give a sort of garbled scream and then faint on the spot.

When Philbert was about 9 he thought it was a great idea to test this theory by putting a dead snake in the mailbox and waiting for her to open it.

Philbert and a friend hid in the ditch on the other side of the road whilst mother pulled up in the car, opened the mail flap, and you guessed it… fainted right there on the road. Ha ha, still makes me laugh now, good times.

Well, Philbert’s mother would definitely have issues with this photographers pictures, but the only issue I would have is how big a print I could fit onto my wall.

His work is verging on nerdy perfectionist as it is almost scientific in it’s control and although it gets a bit same same after a while, that will be excused because it is beautiful.

His name is Guido Mocafico www.guidomocafico.com I’m pretty sure he doesn’t faint around snakes.

Philbert says “Peace Out, it’s Phriday”.
