Just a heads up to let all you airborne dirt gymnasts out there know that the 2011 Dirt Wars comp kicks off at PORC on Saturday 21st May. Why not make a weekend of it and enter Mr Bling’s mini DH race on the Sunday?

Here’s what organiser Cliff told us.

After such a good first year in 2010 were back for this year bigger and better than ever. For 2011 we have changed the layout of DWUK with a higher Elite prize fund, A skate park round, The Dirty Weekender, Different Judging method and a Different energy drink. We will still be running the series as 2 categories, Elite and Open/Grass roots.

We will be kicking off the 2011 Dirt Wars UK Mountain Bike Dirt Jump series at the awesome venue that is Penshurst Off Road Club in Penshurst near Tumbridge Wells (follow link for directions http://www.ukdirt.com/porc/directions.php) on Sat 21st May 2011. We had such a good round at P.O.R.C last year that we would have been stupid not to add it as a definate venue for the 2011 season. We have been told by the guy’s at P.O.R.C that a new set of jumps have been built ready to spice up the P.O.R.C experience. Hot and Cold Refreshments are available on site.
