Round one of the inaugural Enduro World Series kicks off this weekend in Punta Ala, Italy.
The World Enduro Series works by linking together existing enduro races. So the Punta Ala race is actually round 2 of the “Superenduro Powered By SRAM PRO race”, get it?
So this weekend, 18/19th May the Punt Ala Camping Resort, Bandite Trail Area and medieval town of Castiglione della Pescaia will host the biggest enduro race the world has ever seen. Honestly, it’ll be bonkers. World Cup DH riders will be mixing it up with enduro specialists, 4x riders and xc racers. Just look at the entry list: Steve Peat, Greg Minnaar, Nico Vouilloz, Fabien Barel, Jerome Clementz, Dan Atherton, Anne Caroline Chausson, Tracy Moseley. How many legends in one race?!
DirtTV will be there to record every pedal stroke, every corner and every incident so you won’t miss a thing! (Maybe a slight over exaggeration of the word “every”, maybe “every other”, but whatever it’ll be good!)

All the information is on the www.superenduromtb.com but the basic schedule is a Prolog through the streets of Castiglione della Pescaia on Saturday followed by 5 special stages on Sunday.
Local organiser Thomas Daddi says: “We will have the hardest race on the world circuit, the race will take place over six hours with 65 kilometers of trail and 1,800 meters of climbing, with five timed special stages plus the prologue on Saturday.”
