The Unofficial UK Hard Tail DH Champs 2009 / UK bike park

If you’re missing a spring on the back of your bike then you’ll be pleased with the news that this years Unofficial National Hardtail Championships is good to go.
A hardtail fanatic known only as ‘Ace’ is the driving force behind this years event and has hijacked round 4 of the UK bike park series for the coverted race.

Here’s the news from Ace:

This year I am hi-jacking round 4 of the UK bike park series on June 20/21 the Unofficial hardtail champs will be held here.
Hardtail is not a recognized racing class by British Cycling therefore there is NO Official champion as we dont exist and are not allowed to compete in the UK National Champs, so we have been doing our own underground thing.

This will be the 3rd Champs race.

More details closer to the date, anyone can enter and have a go.

No race licence is needed, you are welcome if you have one, however
anyone who has raced at World cup level in Downhill or 4X will NOT be eligible for the title of Unofficial champion or the champions race jacket, world cuppers are welcome to enter and post a time, this will be noted in dispatches, then again you might get beaten anyway !

The 2009 unofficial hardtail champion gets to keep this money can’t buy jacket, as modelled by 2007 winner Nathan Ball.
