I woke up on friday and couldnt move my neck. This should go with a story of daring do on a race track and a big crash, but no I just slept funny and trapped a nerve.
I was ment to be giving the new Team HTN race bike a shakedown, but i cant ride it ! gonna race it next weekend at Combe Syd country park www.kustombikes.co.uk race, kinda wanted to test it first. But as we are now in British Summer Time the clocks have moved forward and like magic it is now light after work, so might get a shakedown run in before next weekend.

So being stuck inside i went through the toolbox, only 1 spare chain left, oh well only cost £22 for a 3pack last time, so went looking and got scared, the same 3pack is now £42 poke that!, you see over here in the UK all the prices have shot up big time. Being a hardtail racer we dont stand for form too much, function yes, as long as it works well looking pretty is a bonus.

Time to rummage through the spares box then, well that turned up 2 serviceable chains, 1 was a bit rusty but wasnt stretched the other had only been used a few times and was nearly new, bit of soak and a scrub and a oil bath and i now have 3 spare chains for the race season, so i spent the cash on red wine instead to help relax my neck muscles.

See that photo, that ticks loads of boxes for me, it has a bike on it, on the bike is a naked lady with long hair, and check those pedals, i want winged pedals, who makes them, will they make you faster than an Atherton ?

The other nice lady with long hair and clothes on is an Atherton, i met her shes lovely, the two big brothers are a bit scary ! if i had winged pedals maybe i could keep up with them.

I have of course been drinking, pain in the neck see ! and i am flying solo with this blog post, unless billy comes in to clear up my mess if it goes wrong, if it works and Rachels big brothers never catch up with me (shes lovely) you should get some stuff that might make sense, then again maybe not, you can find me over at www.hardtailnation.co.uk if you have a fetish for racing hardtails and doing stuff to components that the manufacturer really wont approve of.
I reckon by tuesday night i will be crashing up the woods as i work out what bolts i forgot to check while i built up a bike pissed.
