Gstaad Scott World Cup racer Brendan Fairclough takes time out from his intense training regime and road riding to show us what else he’s been up to over the winter.
With an exclusive look around his new home on the Surrey/Hampshire border the 27 year old shows how handy he is having built from scratch a new timber style building in the woods. Obviously his spirit level and tape measure skills know no bounds and with the house near completion he’s also turned his hand to a drop of furniture making as well. But he’s not just about the bricks and mortar and he gives us an isight into his feminine side with some beautiful touches around the bedroom, pieces that he’s no doubt picked up on his frequent training rides into the city of London, about an hour from his home.
Brendan started the season in storming style, with one of his best results for some time at the Lourdes world cup season opener. But then it shouldn’t be of any real surprise as he is one of the youngest racers ever podium a world cup, being just 17 when he took third at Pila back in 2005 on his Orange.
In the next part of the series we look at Brendan’s local riding spots as well as ordering in some quality ham and cheese rolls from his local Peaslake village stores.
