Suspension: ROCKSHOX REVELATION 426 AIR U-TURN

This fork was indeed a revelation when we first rode it a few years back, it’s just super light, super smooth, and super reliable. Without a shadow of a doubt we’d say this is the best value for money trail fork, and now that RockShox have added a 20mm axle option for ‘09 we love it even more. The maximum travel has also been upped 10mm to, 140mm, and likewise the minimum setting has been increased to 110mm. With the damping, and now both the travel and axle being the same as a pair of Pikes it might seem like they’re almost one and the same, but the difference is that these are lighter and the Pikes are stronger. It’s a case of deciding what’s more important to you. If weight really is an issue to you can save an even bigger chunk of weight by going for the Dual Air version instead of the U–Turn, but you will of course lose out on the handy travel adjust feature.
