If you’re running 27.5” wheels and want a do–it–all tyre then we reckon this is your best option, and it’s a very good one too. If you do decide to go down the Hans Dampf route then make sure you get the ‘Trailstar’ compound because although the ‘Pacestar’ version might roll a bit quicker it’s in a different and altogether less impressive league when it comes to grip. Schwalbe deserve some credit too for making great tyre casings because even the standard version offers good levels of strength and support, and if you feel the need for even more then the ‘Super Gravity’ carcass has enduro racing written all over it.
