If any one brand has a range of suspension to serve every rider’s needs, then it’s RockShox. The Vivid has become commonplace as a supplied shock on many brands’ gravity bikes and not without good reason. This shock represents great value for money, costing hundreds of pounds less than some, but its low price hardly reflects its performance.
The Vivid gives any bike it is bolted to an incredibly positive feel and it just seems to smooth out everything on the track effortlessly. Whilst offering less externally controllable compression and rebound adjustment than some shocks, RockShox are the kings of user-friendly products and if suspension isn’t your forte then you will welcome the easy to understand setup procedure and lack of technical jargon with reference to the shock’s adjusters.
