At a shade over 30lb it might not be the snappiest off the mark, but once moving the poise is immense and really on a longer ride its certainly never an issue, aided by steeper seat tube. Definitely a gripper, with a good low standover for full body English, the Mega is in its element amongst root and braking bumps. The damping is tight and it takes the hits effectively with rare bottom out, although I did prefer the ride with increased compression setting. For the game from which it gets its name, you have the weapon.
As it is, this is very much THE 150mm travel bike that you need to buy. If you’re searching for tenths of a second, work harder or get a faster wheelset, but overall it’s totally set for action. The Mega comes furnished with a big bag of tricks which puts it in a different league price wise to many one–fifty offerings, the sizing works, the silence works and if you were in the market for a bike of this nature you’d be totally insane not to consider it.
