Hot on the heels of their Rook slopestyle bike comes this prototype dirt jump frame, which has once again been designed with input from their team rider Jack Fogelquist.

As you’d expect from any decent dirt frame this one is made from good old fashioned steel, but not just any old stuff, this frame uses high quality custom triple butted tubing. Other manufacturers use this sort of tubing on their high-end dirt jump frames and it really does make a huge difference when compared to plain gauge tubes. For starters it means the frame is a whole lot lighter, but we’ve found these sort of frames also have far more ‘life’ in them. Do a back to back comparison and you’ll know what I’m on about. Normally you’d expect to pay a fair old premium for this kind of quality, but as usual Nukeproof are looking to price this very competitively, around the £350 mark, which isn’t much more than basic dirt jump offerings.

There are some nice little details too like the gold anodized chain tension adjusters and the matching integrated seat post clamp, plus you get removable cable guides. Up front you there’s a 44mm head tube which will accept either tapered or 1 1/8″ forks, and talking of forks this frame has been designed around a 100mm travel fork, with geometry that’s ‘the way Jack likes it’. Production versions will be unveiled at Eurobike later in the year and there will be a choice of regular or long sizes.
