‘Downhill bike of the year’ two years in succession, the Tues has been one of our benchmark bikes of all time. Why? Geometry, specification, price and ride quality – the bike has few faults. Of course it had to change. When YT’s Stefan Willared contacted us a year ago he simply said there was no option but to move things on with the Tues and provide a carbon downhill bike. They will soon have that bike in carbon and 27.5” wheels at a price that will no doubt be hard to beat. It’s one of the reasons why a stablemate of the Tues, the Capra, is our ‘Enduro bike of the year.’ But more than this, and importantly, is the ride quality. Every single YT bike that we’ve tested has been exceptional in this respect and that’s why we hold them in high regard. It’s also why we believe the aluminium Tues still holds a major place in the Dirt 100 and is such an exceptional offering for riders.
