It’s taken over a decade to get an upgrade and they certainly have not messed around. When it comes to exclusivity and originality Specialized have shut the game down with this one. They’ve also gone for a different angle on sizing with their new long and extra long sizes to go with the short and medium. Everything is now concentrated around the bottom bracket, a place where all the weight is heading and the new bike comes in longer and lower than its predecessor, one that had one of the biggest followings in the world. Last year’s Demo was our carbon downhill bike of the year by quite some margin, especially in that the excellent stretched out sizing meant fatigue was never an issue on longer tracks. It was made for steep terrain charging, just a like a downhill bike should, just like this bike is. It has filled its predecessors shoes exceptionally well.
