Last night I packed up the wagon and headed on down to Skate Extreme in Newport. The massive 40 minute car journey makes it a truly local roadtrip….

After 2 years without going anywhere near a skatepark (or any riding based off a hill) I think I picked it up again quite quickly, but my skills are still a bit rusty! I took the Diamondback Lex office bike, and it seemed pretty nice and easy to get used to…..the last thing I rode at a skatepark was my old BMX!

Tuesday night is bike night down at Skate X, and if you’re close you should get down there. I’m a convert, and I think I’l make it a weekly road trip, plus maybe a weekly blog entry if some awesome radical cool shizzle goes down. Get there next week, I’l be there looking average!
