DirtTV will be stepping up a gear for this years coverage of the Downhill World Cup series with the help of John and Rob Parkin. Last year we were in first gear with a one man setup, but for 2009 we’ll have a three man team which I reckon makes it third gear, which is pretty fast.
You’ve probably all heard of the Parkin brothers (read the interview in Dirt84) they’ve been filming the World Cup circus for a few years now and have released their third film 3Focus which documents the 2008 season.
These guys are Pro with a capital “P” and possibly a capital R and O as well.
John and Rob popped into the Dirt office a while back to show us their posh new cameras and a peach of a homemade steadycam which put my shoddy set up to shame.
The first World Cup in South Africa is just over a month away so stay tuned for some of the best coverage with DirtTV.
The bros will also be at other events this year including the first Maxxis Cup, the Megavalanche, Crankworx and possibly the Monmouth Town Flower Festival (yet to be confirmed).
Rob and John manage to find a seat in the mess that is the Dirt office.
Rob “the mad professor” with his latest creation the steady cam.
