2nd February: Nissan White Style presented by Kona

Only three days are left until the Nissan White Style presented by Kona will take place in Leogang, Austria. On February 2nd the one and only mountain bike winter slopestyle contest brings together Europe’s best freeriders for an exciting winter expression session. The course is being shaped by now.

The idyllic Austrian town Leogang is again the venue for the Nissan White Style presented by Kona. The UK Kona Clump team rider Grant Fielder puts all his creativity in the course design. He is already on-site in order to build the jumps together with the shapers of the HU-Connection. This year’s course, which is located next to the Schantei ski-lift station, will provide a huge pack of tricks.

In total there are 23 well known riders from eight countries who have announced their appearance for the Nissan White Style presented by Kona. The qualifying runs take place on Saturday afternoon between 3:45 pm and 5:00 pm. Saturday night at 8:30 pm, the 12 best riders complete two runs to determine the winner of the contest. An overall prize money of 5.000 Euros will motivate the riders to show their newest and hardest tricks.

Trond Hansen from Norway is one of the top pros to watch: “I’m looking forward to the White Style. I’ve been snowboarding a lot in the last two months and, switching to riding my bike on snow should be fun. Since the snow doesn’t hurt like dirt, I’m sure we will have a good time.”

Those riders guarantee hot rocking mountain bike freeride action. The sizzling after contest party at Kralleralm will include a screening of “Smack Down”, probably one of the best episodes from the New Word Disorder movie series ever. Take your chance to party with all the riders and have a good time. The Lion Crew will provide rough beats that make you move. But not enough, the guys from Hamburg’s number one HipHop label “Deluxe Records” will send one of their best rappers to Leogang, too.
