Rachel Atherton has gone fastest in seeding at the 2016 World Championships in Val di Sole this morning.
It continues her stellar run of form over the past 18 months, however it wasn’t as dominant as other performances this year as she only beat out Tracey Hannah. The two women were the class of the field with Pompon third and Manon Carpenter and Tahnee Seagrave rounding out the top five, all about 10 seconds back.
It’s worth saying that this is little more than glorified timed training with the results not affecting the running order for tomorrow’s race.
