Day seven of our ‘daily’ Christmas feature. We’ve been speaking to some of our favourite characters in the industry to find out what they REALLY want under their tree this year. Today we spoke to Rachel Atherton, the current World Champion and World Cup Champion what more could she possibly want?

“I would have to agree with Rob Warner and request a brand new body! This one is getting a bit worn out for sure. Or I would like to not have a gluten allergy for the day! Then I could eat bread sauce… my favourite. Christmas
pudding, Christmas cake and the mother of all deliciousness… CROISSANTS. Gluten free allergy is bullshit at Christmas. If neither of those things then I would like some long burn candles. I spend a good amount of time going around and replacing all the candles in my house because I burn them for so long, so the expensive 100 hour burning candles would be mint.

Actually what I really want but is kind of bike related, it is a photo printer so I can print up some of the photos from my race career and travels so far and put them into a giant book. I have never displayed trophies, shirts, medals or photos, as it makes me feel too content, but a big book of photos would enable me to have a quick sneaky look now and again and feel motivated. And also print photos and give them to my mechanic Joe and other Athy racing staff. In the depths of North Wales (where I live) there just isn’t anywhere to actually go and get stuff printed.”
