Winter might be coming but that doesn’t mean a stop to the race season
We have just been sent over the details of the winter series up in Cheshire so if you fancy a bit of racing this winter then this could be for you. A well loved location for the National 4X Series the track up there is spot on for winter riding. At £15 for a day’s racing it’s pretty damn good value and gate practice will be running the day before each round. Here’s the word from the organisers:
This Sunday, 16th November, Hales Board and Bike Park are hosting round 1 of their Winter 4X Series at Harthill in Cheshire. The bike park in Cheshire is loved by riders and for the first time, a winter 4X Series is happening. Harthill is perfect for a winter series as it is sandy and the track can handle a lot of rain before it becomes muddy. So with the weather not being a problem this was the ideal track to use for a winter series.
These races are going to be perfect for all the mountain bike and BMX riders out there who always wanted to give 4X a go but until now have not tried it out. With the National Series start gate being used for each round, everything is set for beginners all the way up to Elite riders to come a long and race 4X.
The track is great fun. With huge berms, fun flowing jumps and a pro line set of doubles for those brave enough, this track has it all and will without a doubt will provide the spectators and riders with plenty of action throughout the day. If that’s not enough, there are dirt jumps, pump track and a foam pit to enjoy whilst you are there!
Entry cost is £15 which we think you will all agree is fantastic value for money. Riders must attend a minimum of 2 rounds to qualify for the overall series prizes that will be provided by Hales Bike and Board,Rubena Tyres and Cyclone Cycles.
There will be 3 rounds held over the winter months at Harthill on November 16th, February 15th and March 15th. Practice will start at 09.00 at each round with racing starting at 12.00.
