It was a race full of pressure but a lot of riders had the space to open things right up for the last race of the season. Josh made it stick and took the overall win with a 3rd place but it was Matt Simmonds who held it wide and turned it on for a 2nd placed run! Sam Hill took the win here after saying he was ready for this track after his pinned performance in Mont Sainte Anne.
Here’s the overall standings:
Troy Brosnan was back at the first split in 34th and even though he pulled it back to 7th at the second he only managed 8th when he crossed the line. After the rest of the riders came down Troy came in 20th which wasn’t enough to challenge Josh for the overall. Gwin was looking fast but it was Gee who stayed in the hotseat until Sam Hill stormed down to take the top spot.
On an amazing track the season has closed out in style, the overall has been won in both Men’s and Women’s categories by UK riders!
