At just 18 years of age this year is Nicholi Rogatkin’s first full season on the FMB World Tour, but he’s no ordinary rookie. Nicholi turned pro in BMX when he was only 12 years old, and that small wheeled background has clearly helped him hone the skills needed to pay the bills. Somewhat scarily it’s only fairly recently that he’s made the switch to bigger wheels, and I say scarily because as you’ll see in the video below he already has the style and skill to make most riders weep. This kid is only going to get better and it’s surely only a matter of time before he starts winning some of the big contests. He’s already ranked 4th in the FMB Diamond Series and 7th in the FMB World Ranking. Not bad for a rookie hey! He’s definitely one to keep an eye on, and we love the fact that he doesn’t mind looking ‘uncool’ by going ‘bullet’ style with his helmet. If it helps him pull off the tricks that he does then who cares if it looks a little kooky. Anyway, enjoy the video…
