Full Results – 2014 UK DH National Champs – Innerleithen
Your 2014 National Champs have just been crowned after a great weekend of racing at Innerleithen. After his great results in the World Cup this year it didn’t come as too much of a surprise to see Josh Bryceland taking the win this year, but with a winning margin of 3.5 seconds over closest rival Gee Atherton he very much did it in style. Rachel Atherton made sure though that there was still a National Champ in the Atherton household this year by taking the win in the women’s race, and with a gap of almost five seconds between her and Manon Carpenter she has made it clear that Manon is going to have a tough fight on her hands if she want’s to win the World Cup overall this season.
Other results of note; well we’re pleased to see Dirt Orange World Team rider Harry Heath coming away with 7th, and beating several big names in the process, and it’s great to see a whole pile of big names from yesteryear still coming away with the prizes, i.e. Dave Wardell, Andrew Titley, and Will Longdon who beat Tim Pointing back into second place in the Veteran 40-44 category. Those battles will never die.
