When Scott released the first version of these knee pads we were instant fans. They managed to pull off that rare feat of combining loads of protection with great comfort. As happy as we were with them, Scott’s Ben Walker reckoned he could make them even better, and that’s exactly what he did. Thanks to a change in materials they now last longer than before, plus there’s a removable inner layer of EVA foam alongside the d3o protection. This means you can tailor the protection/comfort balance to your needs. Also, the position of the straps has been tweaked to further increase comfort and make sure the pads stay firmly in place. Thanks to those changes and several other little tweaks the best pads got even better, and that’s why they definitely deserve a place in the Dirt 100.
