Unbeatable levels of grip, great styling, and an upper designed to cope with mud. That’s why we love these Five Ten Freerider VXi Elements shoes.
Five Ten Freerider VXi Elements
Ever since Five Ten entered the flat pedal shoe game there’s been no doubting that their ‘Stealth’ rubber soles offer more grip than anything else on the market, and with these Freedrider VXi elements we can finally say that the rest of the shoe lives up to that incredible sole. The ‘Elements’ tag on these particular shoes means an extra fiver on the price compared to the regular VXi’s, but in return you get an upper which will happily see you through a British winter, and an even softer compound sole which gives you leach–like grip even in sub–zero conditions. Compared to previous Five Ten shoes these seem to dry out much quicker and the material doesn’t go stiff over time. We’re also fans of the ‘slick’ pedal interface section of the sole. It provides all the pedal grip we need, yet with more placement control than before.
