The 2014 season couldn’t have started much better for Manon Carpenter. Her first senior World Cup win came in South Africa, and then just two weeks later she managed to back that up with a 2nd place in Australia. In Cairns she was the only female rider to get anywhere near Rachel Atherton, and the two Brits put a massive amount of time into the rest of the field. So far no other riders have managed to knock Manon and Rach off the top two spots, and so it looks like these two are going to have a great battle this season. We’ve always known that Manon had the potential to fight it out at the very top, and in the form that she’s in now that’s exactly what she’s doing. The scary thing is that we can only see her getting better too, after all she’s still just a whippersnapper.
Anyway, Manon likes nothing more than some good tunes to settle any pre-race nerves, and so we thought she’d make a great guest DJ for our Thursday Top Ten Tunes. So, without further ado, here’s her ‘summery’ selection…
