Rogatkin may have taken the win at the Crankworx Rotorua slopestyle, but he was far from the only one throwing down massive tricks.
One of our highlights was this crazily extended backflip tsunami from Nico Scholze – it’s like he’s riding moto! The fact this run didn’t even get top five (he actually ended up eighth) just shows how much slopestyle is progressing at the moment. Keep an eye out for Nico though, a lot of people are talking this up as his break out year.
Red Bull said: “Nico Scholze, who won the wildcard entry at 26Trix with a massive Backflip Tsunami to secure a spot in Swatch Primeline, cements his place on the world stage by laying down an epic run at Crankworx Rotorua 2017 featuring a double backflip, 360 tuck no hander, and a massive backflip tsunami.”
