Watch Brett Rheeder’s winning run from Crankworx Joyride

Nearly flawless

Brett Rheeder won the 2016 Crankworx Joyride yesterday with a score of 93.00.

He beat Thomas Genon (91.2) into second place and Max Frederickson (89.80) into third. Both Brandon Semenuk and Nicholi ROgatkin pulled huge tricks in the first halves of their runs but neither was able to hold it together for the full course to challenge Rheeder.

Brett Rheeder

Rheeder finally claimed the Crankworx crown with this run that was a purist’s dream. He packed it full of oppo tricks and variations including back-to-back corked 720s. The show stopper was a huge backflip one foot can off the final hut drop.

Thomas Genon

Belgium’s Thomas Genon‘s second run was full of technical tricks but a sloppy landing cost him a few points and saw him slot into second place for a second year in a row.

Max Fredricksson

On his Joyride debut, Fredricksson dropped in and delivered an 89.80 with this run. He’s enjoying an incredible breakthrough season with second at Prime Line and Rocket Air plus a fourth at White Style.
