Transition has announced its 2017 line up today and lurking among the stalwart models was a brand new carbon version of the Scout trail bike.
The bike remains the same as the Scout we know so well, with the “playground geometry” and Giddy Up suspension, but obviously it comes with a weight drop, which Transition claims to be 600 grams (1.3lbs).
There will be three builds available and a frame only option. We don’t have UK pricing yet but they range from $8,799 (£6,700) to $5,099 (£3,900) over the pond, with the frame only coming in at $2,999 (£2,300).
Transition says: “The all new Scout Carbon has the character of a slopestyle bike blended with a super light weight package to pedal big mileage in any terrain. Taking mid travel to all new places, the Scout is equally at home slashing turns deep in the backcountry or turning your local trails into a playground. The long front center and 67 degree head angle keep you comfortable and safe; while the short 425mm chainstay and super low bottom bracket let you get wild.”
