Reflections, Part One – Preparation Is Everything | Matt Simmonds

We saw a few images and a teaser floating round after this series was announced with the team confirmation last week. Today sees the first in this set of films from Dirt snapper Laurence Crossman-Emms about the Madison Saracen team and it’s a cracker. Following his most successfull season to date Matt Simmonds took 2nd place in Meribel, a feat that may have been eclipsed by Josh Bryceland and Manon Carpenter winning the series titles but that result took Matt to 7th in the overall for 2014. Coming into a new team Matt talks about pushing out of his impressive top ten capability to make the big results and it showed with his result in Meribel just 0.366 seconds off winner Sam Hill.

It might be dark and cold outside at this time of year but this is Matt’s job and as he says in the film, “you’ve got to get out and do it”. We will be seeing another two videos from the series later this week with episodes from Sam Dale and Manon Carpenter.
