“I feel like I had a win in me” – Aaron Gwin reflects on the 2016 World Championships

The Worlds' curse still haunts Gwin

The one jewell missing from Aaron Gwin’s crown is an elusive World Championship gold medal. Much like Steve Peat he’s proved him self at a World Cup level but the Rainbow stripes have evaded his grasp.

Gwin said: “Overall I would have like to win but I believe we’ve got plenty more years left in us and it’s just going to keep getting better from here. It’ll make it special if I can win one, one day. It will mean more I think than if I’d won one a few years ago.” In short, watch this space.
