Nine of the best jibbers in mountain biking

Car park crushers

Jibbing, car park skills or just dicking about. Mountain bike trickery has lots of names. At the basic end of the scale you have wheelies and manuals but throw in spins, fakies and and a few turns to slap and all of a sudden you have a whole world of opportunity.

Here are the masters of the zen art of jib for you to learn from:

Josh Bryceland

One of the founding fathers of the 50 to 01 crew, Bryceland is one of the world’s top jibbers. Often accompanied by a “WWWOOOAAAHHHHH” from Josh Lewis, Bryceland is a mad turn slapper and, of course, loves back wheel.

Ali Clarkson

When Danny MacAskill calls you “one of the most progressive street trials riders in the world”, you’re probably pretty handy. Ali C made this video in a response to when we first wrote this post and it has easily earned him a place as a top jibber.

Phil Atwill

Phil Atwill is a jib innovator. Not content with the usual bag of mountain biking tricks, he’s invented moves like the ‘Hovering Fish’ and ‘Meerkat Manual.

Wyn Masters

Famous for his Wheelie Wednesdays, Wyn Masters has taken his jibbing around the world. This edit shows off the very best of 2015 that includes clips from a cross country World Cup, Melbourne city centre and Bali.

Josh Lewis

Another of the 50 to 01 crew, Josh Lewis could well be Sheffield’s premier jibber. He’s coming on as a filmer too and was chosen for the Crankworx Dirt Diaries video competition this year.

Bernard Kerr

Southern steezecat Bernard Kerr is the originator of Stoppie Sunday and some of the most mind-boggling jibbing going. As impressive as that is, there’s simply nothing cooler than this mid-air beer catch from Queenstown though.

Mitch Ropelato

???? Think ol mitchypoo @mitchropo wins King of the parking lot today with these tricks:) #madskills #biketricks . Damn????

Ropelato may have left the World Cup circuit for the time being but don’t think his skills have abandoned him. He’s still one of the most fluid riders on the planet and a car park killer as this clip shows

Yoann Barelli

Tuto Tuesday hahaaaa! If you want a very French and not very informative does of jibbing advice on your Instagram feed every week then Yoann Barelli is the man to follow. Topics range from burnouts to riding cyclocross bikes round Whistler so there’s something for everyone.

Olly Wilkins

Creator of the Supermanual and Pan Shot Friday O.G, Wilkins may not be the biggest name on the list but he can jib with the best of them.
