The French were dominant at the Crankworx Les Gets downhill and none more so than Remi Thirion. Thirion took the win by more than two seconds from Brendan Fairclough with this run down Mont Chery. Unfortunately it’s only the video taken from the live feed, so we don’t know what happened in the techy woods, but it does give the impression of how deep the mud was.
It’s far from the perfect run, but then it would be impossible to put such a run together given the track and conditions. Instead it was a case of keeping the bike upright and hoping that the constantly-changing ruts point you in the right direction.
