Sideways is Forwards – Whip Off

Crankworx Les Gets 2016 - Whip-Off

Les Gets is back. After spending a few years away from hosting big MTB events, Les Gets is making it’s presence known by hosting the European stop of Crankworx.

Around the pits there is an air of excitement, they’ve been busy here. A BIG slopestyle course has been built, along with a dual slalom track. But what is getting us really excited is the DH track, we’ve seen bits of it and the course preview. We can’t wait. It looks fast, old school and slidy. It appears to have elements of the 2004 World Champs track.

Martin Soderstrom

Unfortunately the weather at this time of year is unpredictable at best. And it has been hammering it down here for a few weeks non stop. It’s sopping. Which is causing a bit of issues for the events that rely on dry conditions. Today stayed dry-ish, and stayed nice and dry for the Whip Off. This event really speaks for itself. Smiles for miles.
