Sam Hill withdraws from Leogang World Cup with injury

Rain but no Thunder this weekend...

Bad news from Leogang as it turns out Sam Hill will not be competing in this weekend’s race.

With a sloppy, techy track and rain forecast all weekend it looked like it could be a race that Hill could do well in but a fall in practice yesterday has ruined his chances. Hill said on Instagram: “Was having a good time yesterday in practice until I hit one of the ice slick man made rock gardens and went down. I’m pretty banged up and unfortunately not going to race this weekend.”

Thankfully there’s a month’s break before Lenzerheide for Sam to recover and get back up to speed and he will be relishing Mont Sainte Anne in August – a track he won on in 2014.
