Neko Mulally leaves Scott for 2017

Mulally moves on

Neko Mulally announced last night that he would no longer be racing on Claudio Caluori’s Scott team in 2017.

Mulally said on Instagram: “The past 2 years have been rad. Memories and friendships will last a lifetime. Truly thankful to everyone who made it possible”

Mulally joined Scott at the start of 2015 in a high profile move from Trek World Racing. On Trek Mulally had become a real podium contender and was consistently picking up top 20s. He rounded off his time on Trek with a chainless run to fourth at the Hafjell World Championships.

Unfortunately injury plagued his time on Scott and he couldn’t quite match his form from the TWR day. He only broke in to the top 20 once on Caludio’s team – at Lenzerheide in 2015.

It’s clear he still has bags of talent and is a true bike fan. He organises his own race series in the South East US and his Instagram is chock-full of tinkering and bike projects that satisfy our nerdy urges.  Let’s hope he’s got another World Cup race seat lined up for this year.
