Madison Saracen will desperately have wanted to do well at their home World Cup but luck counted against them on a mixed race day.
In the women’s race, Manon qualified first but crashed in her race run. She still managed to rescue third place but will have hoped for more. In the men’s Matt Simmonds finished 22nd but Marc Beaumont punctured. Matt Walker also punctured while leading the junior race.
