It’s been over a month since the EWS left Ireland and finally it’s back. There’s also been a two year break for La Thuile that’s back on the circuit for the first time since 2014.
In the shadow of Mont Blanc, it’s sure to deliver stunning Italian singletrack, unreal vistas and frentic racing. It’s a firm favourite with the riders so along with the enduro old guard, there’s a contingent of World Cup racers about hoping to keep their eyes in before Mont Sainte Anne – they may even sneak themselves a shock result, like Sam Hill did in Ireland.
The racing takes place on Staurday and Sunday with three stages on each day. Transfers are a mix of chairlifts and pedalling with a total ascent of 1204 meters and descent of 4,807 meters. GC times are expected to be around 50 minutes for the top men.
