Today we have a sort of national theme to the photos.
Each shot is kind of typical for the country of each rider, well sort of…bear with us…or I could be hallucinating from heat stroke.
Steve Smith was quickest today in timed DH training. Here he is with a classic Canadian ‘send her big with a big plume of dust’ style.
Dan Atherton in 4X with his ‘sort of trailsy, kinda bmxish, learned it in the backyard, fast and low UK scrub’
Jared Graves with a sort of similar style to another winning Australian DH racer – fast, super efficient, deceptively smooth, choosing his own unique lines.
Jill Kintner was number 1 in qualifying by almost a couple of seconds. Keep it simple, there’s no messing around with the USA, Stars and Stripes.
Our last two shots are representing New Zealand. Funnily enough the cheeky Kiwis have taken a liking to bringing out the goon style whenever they see a camera. As if my job wasn’t hard enough.
But they say ‘yeah its sic just run it!’ Here you go Brook MacDonald and Sam Blenkinsop.
