Pugin wins Leogang World Cup in Austria/Full results

It has just happened. Pugin wins by over 2.5 sec , Atherton and then Moseley.

The rain has so far held off for the World Cup downhill finals in a humid Leogang.

Myriam Nicole held the hot seat for a while but made a mistake coming into the first pedally section so lost a lot of speed. Sabrina was off the pace. Emmeline Ragot was visibly upset at being DQ’d. She told me she clipped a course marker with her bars and that was all. I think an appeal may be on the cards. Kintner was flying three seconds up at the first split, but a soft lip on long traverse veered her off track into the Austria pasture. Not a place you want to be when you’re on a winning run. Moseley said she was happy with 3rd place here on a track that she openly said she does not like.

Floriane Pugin telling DirtTV's Rob Parkin all about her winning race run

Atherton came down next and was up at the splits but it looked close. Clean run and takes the hot seat. Fastest qualifier the French Flying Banana Floriane Pugin has had a big smile on her face all weekend. My theory is that if you’re having fun then you’re riding fast. Down at the first split on Atherton things looked close. But the Scott 11 rider dug deep and made up time in the lower sections took take her well deserved first World Cup win.

Emmeline Ragot. DQ'd after clipping a course marker.

Jill Kinter, crashed after hitting a soft lip on the traverse jumps while on a flier.

Rachel Atherton 2nd

Tracy Moseley, happy with 3rd and still leading the overall.
