Okay, we had technical problems with filming the track today. Actually the first problem was that we got lost trying to find the start (more on that later).

So instead of a video here are a few photos of the World Cup track at Pietermaritzburg which I was lucky enough to walk with Dan and Gee Atherton.

You’ll probably hear a lot of talk about a “Canberra track” but there are some good sections on the course and it will probably be fun to ride. There are also some flattish, smooth pedally sections which against the clock will be a slog.
