Leogang track walk

Leogang's back with it's usual mix of bike park sections and bike park sections

Roughly an hour and a half from Red Bull’s headquarters, Leogang is one of the most picturesque courses on the circuit and you’ll have plenty of time to admire those views as you roll over the smooth hard pack.

Leogang is probably the Indy 500 to Val di Sole‘s Monte Carlo – high speed, big consequences but, if we’re being honest, a bit tedious. Safe to say the riders aren’t exactly relishing the challenge (some are even calling for the return of the man made rock gardens from last year) of this course but that won’t stop them charging later today.  Expect low profile tyres, shock lock outs and, dare we suggest, single crown forks?

There’s not much to say about these tunnels – they make for some awesome shots though.

Here’s all the action from the hillside yesterday:

Walking on sunshine - there could be another big result on the cards for Matt this weekend
Man of the hour - everyone wants a piece of Jack Moir.
Head down for Marshy, hoping to put together another winner
One in the pink - Tracey leads the individual and team competitions this weekend
Bad luck have hidden Vergier's raw speed the last two races. He likes it here though and finished second last year.
Keep an eye out for some dirt jump action at 26 Trix this weekend - although from the looks of it, the dh guys will be going bigger - that finish table is huge!
Danny was not happy with the Fort William bog, thankfully there's not likely to be anything similar here.
A steeper start gate should give a bit more speed into the top corners
Sweeping rooty, off-camber corners now make up the middle portion of the course
Expect these fresh lines to be cut up as the weekend progresses
Bike park blueprint is never far from the fresh cut sections
You ain't going to be using your brakes much on this course. It's flat out.
Manon has won here before and she'll definitely be ready for another.
Moto whoops replace man-placed rocks. They don't look like the most intimidating set in the world mind
A lot of riders have shock lock outs fitted this weekend probably for this motorway section.
You can gap from this transition onto the face of the wall ride but it takes some pretty big commitment
Nick Nesteroff feeling wavey
Plan of attack. Tahnee and Kilmurray talk tactics
Who needs to point at lines when you have big wheels to foll over it all?
Don't expect any of these to be cut out this weekend.
We reckon there's a left hand berm here...
Full focus for Hannah this weekend, she knows there are a lot of win-starved women chasing her down
Gwin may still be on 650b but he has a habit of overcoming disadvantages here
The Stairs of Contrast return for another year, they've claimed some scalps over the year
Finn was not best pleased after his Fort William race run, a back-to-back race gives him the chance of instant redemption.
Team of the year so far, the UR boys certainly won't be stumped by this track
Vergier teaching the old dog some new tricks
Fresh soil plasters some fresh cut section, there's sure to be roost flying in b-practice tomorrow
The taping controversy on the final drop continues - it's tighter than ever this year.
