Final awesome 6-a-day images from two of La Best photosnappers in La Bresse, Gary Perkin and Victor Lucas.
Peaty wins it. Unbelievable. Now he has matched Vouilloz’s record number of World Cup wins. Are you going out tonight Steve? ‘No, I’m going home to see my new son!’
Victor Lucas
Tracy Moseley rode well enough for 2nd place. That means she gets to keep her leaders jersey. But Andorra is only a week away!
Victor Lucas
Mickael Pascal was the fastest French rider. He got an earfull from the fans on the last corner. Looks like his mum is going to smack him in the ass with her umbrella.
Victor Lucas
The crowd was great here in La Bresse …. this is minutes after Peaty
won his first race since Willingen in 2007 and you’d be hard pressed
to find him in the throng here. Took me a while to get to the podium
through this lot .. a lot of excusez-moi and pardons were brought out
in high school french.
Gary Perkin
Sik Mik is back – in case you haven’t heard. 3rd today to add to his
2nd in Pietermaritzburg brings him to 2nd overall with 380 points
behind Steve’s 415. Not too shabby for a potato harvester.
Gary Perkin
Due to local laws governing sporting authorities reckoning alcohol
shouldn’t be associated with sport … guess they’ve never heard of
Steve Peat then. But leave it to ever-resourceful team manager Kathy
Sessler to come up with the goods for a little post race celebration
bubbly.
